About Us
In the spring of 1978, I was a young pastor in a small community where I met and fellowshipped with many of the clergy in the area. During that time a prominent pastor of the community committed suicide. The religious community was shocked over the death of what was believed to be a very successful ministry and pastorate.
I was saddened not only for the parishioners and his family but for the faith community at-large. I grieved for him, his family and his church…I had many questions concerning what would challenge him to take his life. I wanted to know if this situation could have been prevented…what signs of potential suicide went unnoticed.
In the years that followed, I was present for many discussions concerning this event and that of others in the pastorate. During a ministerial conference, one of the ministers discussed his challenges concerning his church and family. He confided in several of us saying, “I understand why that pastor took his life". I want to discuss this situation with someone but the church is not a safe place to discuss ones problems. Where does a pastor or leader go for reconciliation, healing, restoration and deliverance?
Further when I attended conferences, workshops and seminars ministers would gravitate to me and began to share with me their struggles with me regarding marital and family problems, indiscretions that caused shame and the resignation from ministry, retiring without adequate retirement benefits, being abused mentally, emotionally, physically and financially by the leaders and laity. Others were grieving the death of a child, spouse, parents or the death of a marriage (divorce).
It was through sharing the events of Christian leaders and praying through my own personal struggles of abuse, grief, rejection that God spoke to my heart and gave me the vision for this ministry. This ministry will focus on the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual need of those who are bondservants of Jesus, who have been commissioned to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. Through this holistic approach, Christian leaders (pastors, evangelist, missionaries etc.) can be healed and reconciled to God, commissioned to continue to carry out God’s calling on their lives.
This was taught by the Apostle Paul in Romans 11: 29 (Amplified Bible) “For God’s gifts and His call are irrevocable. [He never withdraws them when once they are given, and He does not change His mind about those to whom He gives His grace or to whom He sends His call.]” Praise the Lord!
